Purpose of the position — Build and grow standalone services business related to Medical gases across China — Services include medical engineering, facilities and provision of on site equipment and services — To investigate market landscape and trends including hospital needs, regulatory, competitor activities across China for Medical Engineering and on site services opportunities — Working collaboratively with Global and local engineering services team, develop product and service offers to address both short term and longer term needs of the market — Work with Regional Sales, to develop new businesses in the identified Regions and meet growth target set — Work with Medical engineering team to define required internal supply capability and ensure readiness to supply — Form relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in relevant external organisations – hospitals, respiratory community & authorities to promote and market Linde’s products/ services & establish Linde as the leading brand in services area — Coordinate all marketing requirements for the new business; responsible for producing materials, literature and promotion, as well as providing specialised clinical support as required. — Maintain a loaded opportunity pipeline for short, mid and long term sustainable growth. — Ensure that business case is developed and delivered through effective execution Principal responsibilities • Conduct market research of trends and development of Medical gas related services. Identify and interpret emerging trends, such as hospital behaviour, competitive behaviour, changes in healthcare policy. Communicate these outcomes and propose how to leverage future opportunities. • Identify new business opportunities through research, hospitals/ KOL communication, networking and working collaboratively with Sales & Marketing team. • Identify and critically analyse new business models relating to starting new service business and possible revenue streams. Develop long term strategy of growing the service business in China. Identifies risks and key success factors for successful execution • Establish new products and services to grow revenue to deliver customer/ market requirements with sustainable financial return. • Working collaboratively with the marketing and sales teams to implement and evaluate new business concepts. • Local contact for relevant global experts. Constantly communicate with global Healthcare members regarding development of products, services and market/regulatory trends. • Develop and maintain close, mutually beneficial and productive working relationships with Key Stakeholders and Key Opinion Leaders. Maintain effective representation in China’s related industry as necessary and develop initiatives through participating in working groups, advisory committees/boards and attending Health industry networking opportunities. • Lead implementation of approved proposal and deliver on business case. Key interfaces • Healthcare Sales & marketing • All enabling functions e.g. operations, customer services, finance • External Network : Standards committee/ Authorities/ hospitals • Medical engineering team Required key skills (functional/technical) • Strong understanding of Healthcare industry (sales or marketing or Business development experience in similar field) • Experience in setting up new business – including market research, product development to launching new product • Engineering experience or background preferred Required qualifications/experience • Strong track record in Sales or business dev elopement roles with a healthcare company, in similar or related areas • Min 8-10 years experience • Basic level of English preferred • Engineering background or experience will be an advantage
