Purpose of the position
— Responsible for marketing, business plan/strategy and commercial best practice strategy and execution.
— Support growth agenda of base Gases business with strong Marketing activities to promote Linde products/ services and branding.
— Develop an integrated marketing strategy involving product and service definition, pricing, branding positioning, communications channel, content and delivery
— Form and develop strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in Pharmaceutical gas and Respiratory care areas (including hospitals/ authorities) to promote, develop and sell our products and services to meet their needs. Promote and market Linde products and services and establish Linde as the leading brand in respiratory care.
— Develop and execute value adding programme and communication with industry key stakeholders e.g. local and provincial government/ authorities, respiratory therapy related association or patient organisation, standards committee
— Lead all market intelligence activities relating to Pharmaceutical gases, and Respiratory care in China, to establish leading trends and pre-empt changing landscape including customer behaviour, regulatory/ Healthcare policies, competitive landscape
— Develop and maintain a pipeline of new product & services as well as business opportunities for short, mid and long term sustainable growth meeting the needs of existing and/or new Healthcare customers.
— Develop Business cases for new products, services and therapies and develop viable business models (partnerships/ channels) to launch successfully.
— Ensure commercial best practice is executed to support growth, efficiency and compliance, covering pricing, tender management
Principal responsibilities
• Lead the Marketing function and develop a strong marketing programme, targeting customers and all key opinion leaders and authorities to drive successful market penetration.
• Produce all relevant Marketing material (brochures/ messages & pitch) and organise key events for promotion of Linde brand & product/ services.
• Identify and critically analyse new business opportunities and possible revenue streams in line with Local and Global Strategies. Identifies risks, critical success factors and makes suggestions for mitigating these.
• Generate a pipeline of business opportunities for new and base business in line with strategy – covering new products and services for target customers
• Act as local contact for relevant global experts. Communicate with global Healthcare team regarding latest products, services and market/regulatory to ensure adequate support from Global expertise and resources
• Develop and maintain close, mutually beneficial and productive working relationships with Key Stakeholders and Key Opinion Leaders who have an impact on Healthcare industry outcomes.
• Maintain effective representation in the Health industry as necessary and develop initiatives through participating in working groups, advisory committees/boards and attending Health industry networking opportunities.
• Anticipate and influence customer needs and wants and strive to provide products and services that meet their short/medium and long term needs
• Execute commercial best practice and processes to achieve high performance, efficiency and compliance

Required key skills (functional/technical)
• Strategy development: strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
• Strategy Development – The ability to review Global and Local Healthcare programs and identify new business opportunities in China; important bridge between Global and Local.
• Business Processes: Strong ability to establish well defined and structured business plans and commercial best practice
• Evidence of Strong negotiation skills
• Strong execution skills - evidence of making things happen!
• Influencing Skills: Highly developed influencing skills for preparing and delivering professional business cases to Senior Management.
• Influential, able to draw on a range influencing strategies, networking resources and experiences (track record of working across many different functions)
Required qualifications/experience
• Extensive experience in China Healthcare Industry (pharma/ Devices)
• Min 10 years experience in MNC Pharma/ Devices in the Marketing, Product Management and Planning functions,
• Previous government affairs related experience will be an key advantage
• Proven track record developing new business in the Health sector
• Established networks within the healthcare industry
• A good knowledge or experience in Respiratory related illness would be advantageous
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) mandatory
