Job Description We are looking for an enthusiastic scientist to join our Biology/Molecular Virology research team in China Novartis Institute for BioMedical Research in Shanghai. You must be highly motivated, self-driven and dedicated to the quest for the discovery of novel therapeutic drugs. Advanced skills in laboratory management and hand-on experience in experimental design and data analysis are required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both writing and oral presentation are required Minimum requirements You're expected to have an M.S. or Ph. D. degree in Molecular Biology, Virology, Biochemistry or related fields; with 2 or more years of research experience for MS candidates. You must be excellent with basic molecular biology and cell culture techniques such as DNA/RNA manipulation and detection, PCR/RT-PCR, mammalian cell transfection, bio-assay development, etc. Experience with virology and antiviral and oncology research is a plus. Excellent interpersonal communication skills are also necessary, as are creative and analytical thinking.
